Stromme Foundation has a vision of a world free of poverty. This International Development organization is commited to facilitate empowerment for the poor to overcome root causes of povertà and sustain their development endeavours. It beliefs in core values of human dignità, justice, gender equality, participation, transperancy, responsibility and sustainability.

Mission

Stromme Foundation program in Bangladesh is complementary to the government’s efforts to achieve the MDG. Minorities, different tribal (Adibasi) and ethnic groups, excluded fisheries communities in the coast and people living in hard-to-reach areas constitute the bulk of the people living in abject poverty in Bangladesh. Over the last two decades of work in Bangladesh Stromme Foundation has achieved to adopt right based and participatory approaches in microfinance and education. SF has constantly made efforts to strengthen civil society actors (Partner NGOs) in participatory planning and managing development program, bring professionalism into the project implementation and to establish accountability and governance. It focuses on community ownership of the programs.
