The project responds to the needs of Wayùu women, who need appropriate meeting spaces. The house for women is a strategic space where the testimonies and the accusations of the women who cannot count on the judicial system can be heard.
Having an autonomous meeting space will help to strengthen the organizational system and the power of political representation. • Food Production against Hunger

The initial objective of this food production project is to feed 100 women living in the “bateyes” (shantytown) of Yaco and Palamara through the farming and production of corn. Corn is the main crop for the inhabitants of the “bateyes”: it is a staple food and it is used in a variety of ways more than any other grain consumed by humans, both domestically and industrially. It is used as animal feed and fermented for various industrial products (because it can be processed for use in a variety of food products without the need for large investments) and it represents a sure source of nourishment for the population.
Nutritionally speaking, corn is better than most other grains, except for its protein content. The nutritional properties of corn, wheat and rice and the composition of the various components of the kernel are presented in the following tables. The nutritional value of corn is higher when compared to wheat and rice: corn is higher in fat, iron and fiber however it is lower in protein. Adding a food higher in protein during meals can supply the needed nutritional requirements.

  • Civic family

International experiences regarding civic education demonstrate that the countries which have reached cultural progress in terms of civics have improved their levels of coexistence. A characteristic of these experiences is that of basing education programs on the respect of mankind. People educated in civic values and in the respect for mankind are the fundamental pillars of civil society and with the advancement of this proposal they will have new and better families which will work for the community compromising for their society and their country.
On the opposite, continuing with a passive behaviour with regards to the current situation means perpetuating the coexistence of elevated rates of family violence, a low level of civic knowledge and low level of social capital, conditions which are clearly damaging for the future of a nation.
