Association Grassroots Human Right Education & Development Committee
Grassroots strive to improve the relations between Thai and Burmese communities in southern Thailand by promoting mutual understanding and respect, while also educating Burmese people in Burma and Thailand about the rights of individuals (human rights, women’s rights, children’s rights, labor rights) and how to protect themselves from abuses that are inherent in a non-democratic society.
Mission
The mission of Grassroots Human Rights and Education is to facilitate community-based education of Burmese people inside and outside of Burma and to overcome obstacles and create opportunities for the establishing a society that respects human rights, democracy, social justice and the environment.
